- We provide a variety of blood tests and nursing services.
- For ‘fasting blood tests’ you need to have fasted from midnight the night before your test. It is very important that you do not eat or drink anything other than water from then, you can take any usual medication.
- We are unable to provide blood tests on children
- If you are housebound please inform the receptionist and they can arrange for the community phlebotomy team to come out to you.
- Results: Allow at least one week for the results to come back, the reception team will contact you sooner if the GP wishes a follow up to be actioned.
- Our reception team is not trained to interpret the results of any investigation. Please do not ask them to do so. If you wish to discuss your results then please make an appointment with your doctor.

Maternity Services
Our midwife comes into surgery every Wednesday for your ante natal care. There is a community midwifery advice line available on 01623 676170 for any other problems or general enquiries.
Physiotherapy Clinic
The Physiotherapists hold a clinic in the Surgery on Tuesdays. Patients are able to self-refer for this service. Please telephone the surgery on 01623 752312 to make an appointment.
Family Planning and Sexual Health
For patients of The Health Care Complex, we offer a family planning service in our nurse clinics, please book an appointment. Alternatively contact the family planning centre on 01623 752312.
Vaccinations
Flu Vaccine
We offer flu vaccinations during the season for all our over 65 patients, at risk patients, and pregnant patients.
Please enquire to book an appointment (after September).
We hold a Saturday morning session in early October so please contact us for full details.

The COVID-19 vaccine helps protect against COVID-19, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It’s offered on the NHS to people at increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19.

Travel Vaccinations
If you are going abroad and need travel vaccinations we offer this service in our nurses clinic.
Please collect a form from the reception and let us know where you are going and when.
Please leave at least 6 weeks before you travel. We will then advise you on which vaccines you require and can offer you an appointment, please ensure that you book the appointment at least 4 weeks before you travel.

Cancer Screening and Aortic Aneurysm Screening
The cancer screening programmes for England are nationally coordinated; they are the NHS breast screening programme, the NHS cervical screening programmes and the NHS bowel cancer screening programme.
The GP does offer a prostate cancer injection service after diagnosis. Please enquire for further information on this.
There is an NHS abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening programme that takes place for every male in the Nottinghamshire area turning 65. The screening service will notify you or you can ring the service on 0115 924 9924 (ext 62394 or 62378).
Family Planning
The Practice Nurse is family planning trained to give advice on all aspects of family planning and follow up checks are done by the Practice Nurse on the method chosen with counselling by the patient.
Please note if IUD’s, IUS’s and Implants are chosen then the patient can be referred to a Family Planning Clinic.
